Mrs James continued checking the others’ work

and when she assessed Isabella’s work, she

complimented her. “I am so proud of you!”

It was the first time Isabella smiled for the day.

“Miss, can I help Jayden?”

“Of course, that’s so nice of you.”

She pulled up her chair alongside Jayden’s desk

and said, “Here, let me show you.” He hesitated at

first, then with a shy look, he nodded. Isabella

explained the working to him and in no time, he
was able to accurately do some by himself.

He stared at her and then asked, “Why did you

help me?”

She looked him straight into the eyes and said,

“Because I know how it feels to not be helped.”
