Christmas
There were lots of screaming, hugs and tears of
joy to finally be in each other’s company again.
Some of them lived in the same adopted
homeland but barely saw each other in the flesh.
Their main means of communication was via
video chat on Whatsapp or IMO.
The preparations in the kitchen where in full
swing. I could smell the ham, the turkey, the
bread, the cakes and all the other pies in the
oven. The sweet aroma filled the house.
