Yield Not to Temptation

knew I was not supposed to play with
matches! I knew it. As a young child, my parents
told me this repeatedly. They warned me of the
dangers associated with fire. Even at school, we
do fire drills and attend lectures to ensure that we
know the dangers of fire and how to be safe if we
are exposed to a fire. So, I knew I was not
supposed to play with matches at all. My parents
did not even keep them out in plain sight so I
could have access to them.
However, one day I was home alone and I was
sooo bored. I could not find anything interesting
to do. There was no electricity so I could not play
my games. Both my tablet and my phone had
died because there had been no announcement
from the power company that electricity would
not have been available in my area. I was
absolutely bored. I felt like I was losing my mind.
The saying really is true that the devil finds work
for idle hands because, after a while, I heard two
voices in my head. One voice was telling me to
play with the matches and the other voice was
