The eyes poured the fiery waters
And wept over the lost past;
A past that we dreamt of being the future,
A future in the living present
That we embraced heartily.
Our mundane selves
Overpowering the extraordinary
That lurks in us,
Brings alive the rotten deeds
And pushes us to the core of evil
Prevailing in the present.
The dream for life is ‘all for one’
And be its bravest soldier
Without slitting our wishes
That we had buried in our hearts
Long before our fathers were born.
You are the immortal child
Who has come to our rescue,
Who has come to freeze?
The fiery waters that we wept.
But have you lost that valour?
That you inherited from her?
Why is that rage
In your wretched smile,
Still ruling your heart all along?
Have you any answer
To your mother’s tears,
That enraged the tidal waves?
You were the past,
The legend,
Who flagged the pole of the present!
You are the future
The transcendence
Who paved our way to the moon’s crescent!
