(b) Chief Staff Officers.
Sargurd Kaulvi held the post of Chief of Staff Kerman up
to 9th February when he was transferred to the military school,
Shiraz. He was the right hand man of Sortip Siya Push and when the
latter was transferred to Shiraz, he had about 2-300 unaccounted
rifles collected from tribesmen, Sargurd Maulvi was the man who sold
them for Sartip Siya Push and is the real cause of the present
lawlessness and insecurity, (It was widely believed that about 45
rifles were sold and the remainder were given free to create trouble
in the Ustan so that Siya Pu6h would have to be recalled to quell
it)*
Sargurd 'Jasim Uaikedeh succeeded Sargurd Llaulvi. He was
a pro-Eritish officer, but was disheartened as he had not been
given' promotion. He was well off owing to his wife who was reputed
to be very rich. He resigned and his resignation was not accepted,
but through his wife’s influence he managed to secure a transfer frea
the Army to the Ministry of the interior. He left for Tehran early
in August*
Sargurd Surisrafil, who arrived in Kerman in the beginning
of January ani was posted to the Kerman headquarter staff, officiated
as Chief Staff Officer from August up to 10th October, when he was
transferred to Tehran,

Sarhang Haidri took up the appointment of the Chief of
Staff officer on the 10th October temporarily till the arrival of
Sarhang Azizi, O.C • > Sirjan garrison end officiated till 3ra of
December when Sarhang Azizi succeeded him. Both these officers
appear to be friendly disposed towards us.
(c) 0*C. Kerman Garrison.

Sarhang Yazdanfur held the command of the Kerman garrison
throughout the year. He is also commander-designate of the Kerman
brigade in the Southern Command. He visited Sirjan three times and
Handivr Abbas twice during the year

He^ is a pleasant mannered and efficient officer, trained
at St, Cyr, He has become more openly friendly as the pi'ospect of an
allied victory has increased.
Chief Hedical Officer, South-Bast Division.
Sarhang Jalveh held the post of Chief Medical Officer,
3.E. Division up to the beginning of June when he was succeeded by
Sarhang Ohedi from Khwash.
Sir.jan Garrison.
Sarhang Azizi, was O.C*, Sirjan garrison up to the end
of November, when he was succeeded by Sarhang Bahrami.

Miscellaneous.
Sartip Atta-uilah Attai of the Military Supply Department
arrived in Kerman on the 7th February to investigate the poss­
ibilities of local purchase of food stuffs and other supplies for
the military* He visited the Bam area between 20th February and 11 th
March, and returned to Tehran on 26th March,
Sarhang Sa-id, Military inspecting Officer, arrived from
Tehran on the 2Sth January and returned on the 27th £pril* It is said
that he found much corruption in the accounts of the late Sartip
