With roj orence to correspondence ending with this
office letter Ho,474 dated 7th July 1011 regarding the
question oi Min Mannma Pior, I have the honour to stab
that aft^r mentioning the eubjoot two or tjiroo times
to Shnikh Isa verbally, I finally wrote to him.
I now enclose a translation of the answer which
I have received j rom aim.
3. The construction of the Amara^is really prooood-
ing, The masonry is being -lone in cut hard stone and
mortar and must bo oonting a considerable amount. The
frame work for the roof is of wood and has boon obtain­
ed second hand, presumably from India, It doos pot
appear to mo to be in very good oondition but may
serve its purpose for some yoarB,
3, What exactly the Sheikh has in mind rdgarding
the pier is not quite clear, but ho has at least com­
mitted himself to talking about it in a more practical
it!thin a few months.
