CHIEF OF BAHRAIN, TO MAJOR A. 1\ TREVOR, C.I.E., POLI­
TICAL AGENT, BAHRAIN.
After compliments.—
I have received your esteemed Jotter No. 331, dated tho 18th Jamadi II
1332 (14th May 1914), on tlio subject of tho possibility of obtainiug korosino
oil iu Bahrain. Just as I informed your honour in my letter, dated the 17th
Jamadi-us-sani 1332, that wlieu time comes for obtaining that I will certainly
consult the Political Agency, I do hereby repeat to you that if there is any
prospect of obtaining kcrosiuo oil in my territory of Bahrain, I will not embark
on tho exploitation of that myself and will not entertain overtures from any
quarter regarding that, without consulting tho Political Agent in Bahrain and
without tho approval of the High Government. This is what had to bo said.
