31 at Aucjuot 1011
from Sheikh Isa bin All A1 Khalifa, Oliiof of nnhrain,
to Oap’.ain O.b.p.Tjorimor, Political Mont, Bahrain,
After Compliments,
I have the honour to acknowledge rocoip
of your letter Po.1010 dated-----------------------l'„ regarding
. .. , . _ , 36th August 1911
to the question of the proposed Pier at Manama.
I have understood about the probable cost of the
some.
I am ready and willing to proceed with the oons-
traction of a pier so far as it is poBBible and lies
within my power, and vrill proceed with iiTgradually,
Just as (in the cose of ) the construction of the Ainara
Shed(which) is Inshallah approaching completion.
If during the time of the construction of- the
latter the people who wore bringing the stones had not
dispersed owing to the Plague and to incidence of the
Pearling Season, work would already have been begun on
the pier.
It is not in my intention to raise a loan from
the merchants of Bahrain, or from the (tovernment of Indir
as that would entail an increase in the cost -.’oi cons
truction.
I propose when the Amara Shod is completed to
(discuss and) come to agreement with you as regards the
pier feoAso that I may rocoive assistance in regard to
the capital ejqjonsed\: and I pray Ood'that judt as the
Amara Shod will be completed so the construction of the
Pier may bo apcomplished/oo Air as it within the bounds
of possibility and the means at my disposaljp-nd by the
power of Ood the hearts of all may be satisfied. And
should the case necessitate the raising of. a loan,I will
