100 Day Report
SOUTHEAST
Sire Archon Roy Irons
I am proud to report that the 21st Biennium of the Southeast Region (SER) is well underway in achieving its goals while supporting those of the 49th Grand Sire Archon, despite the handicap of COVID-19. Given the pandemic, the Region lea- dership has not met face-to-fa-
ce this year. However, the virus has not prevented the Southeast Region Executive Committee and its subcommittees from meeting virtually. In addi- tion to the Fall 2020 Southeast Region Executive Committee Meeting held on September 20, 2020, the SER Archons have been working diligently to not only get to know the best of one another, but also positively impact the communities in which we live, work, serve, and play. Please see below the highlights of various activities across the Region in the past 100 days:
• Social Action Committee, chaired by Archon Anthony Aiken, shared two informative 1-1/2 hour webinars on relevant social action ma- tters and presented an A++ rated template for our Get Out To Vote campaign across all member boulés;
• The Southeast Region Boulé Signal, publi- shed by SER Grapter LeRome Richmond, published more than forty informative news articles highlighting Archon and Archousai accomplishments since the beginning of the 49th Administration;
• SER member boulés submitted 185 articles to The Boulé Journal during the 49th admi- nistration;
• Time and Place Committee, chaired by Ar- chon John Kelly, kicked-off planning for the virtual 21st Southeast Region Boulé biennial meeting to be held in 2021, which is guaran- teed to be the best virtual biennial meeting in SER history;
•Blacks on Corporate Boards Committee, chaired by Archon Worth Thomas, worked closely with the Grand Blacks on Corporate Boards Committee to educate Archons and Archousai in corporate board roles and build the national database and presented a de- tailed report of its virtual meeting, Advancing Diversity in Corporate Leadership;
• Public Policy Committee, chaired by Archon Andrew Dixon, shared partnership efforts and education regarding St. Jude’s Research Cen- ter and worked jointly with the Grand Boulé initiative supporting sickle cell research and St. Jude’s fundraising; and
• HBCU Initiatives Committee, chaired by Ar- chon William Prater, worked to identify su- pport and partnership opportunities among HBCU’s within the SER.
The Southeast Region Boulé is moving and con- tinuing to support your leadership and the goals and objectives of the 49th Administration as we get to know the best of one another across the Fraternity.
