SPELLING
Grade Level: First Grade and Above
Prerequisite: Play Onwards and Decoding Game
Skill Developed: Ability to spell monosyllabic words.
Objective: To spell the monosyllabic words on the backside of cards.
How to Play: With players seated so that they cannot see the computer display, the parent/teacher picks a
monosyllabic word (excepting anonymous words) and reads it out loud (or has Natural Reader do so). Players
take turns answering. (Note, below in cards 34a and 36a, columns 3 and 4 respectively are ignored, as are all
the columns except column 1 of 35a, whereas all the columns of 33a may be used for this game.)
Scoring: One point is awarded for each word spelled correctly.
