ACTIVITY 10 Building Greater Sentences

Combine these short sentences into one sentence. You can add new words and move words around,
but you should not add or omit any ideas. More than one answer is possible, but all of these sentences
require connectors.

1. a. Introverts need to be alone to recover their energy.
b. Extroverts need stimulation in order to feel energized.
c. Extroverts need the stimulation of being around other people.
d. This is in contrast to introverts.

2. a. Globalization has made people aware of other cultures.
b. It is unlikely that all cultures will merge.

3. a. Exams contain instructions.
b. There may be several different types of instructions on an exam.
c. It is important to read exam instructions carefully.
