ROSÉ

#1.LW1 2020 Nocturne SR / Sangiovese, Nebbiolo Margaret River, WA
Nocturne is a husband-and-wife partnership between recently-crowned Jimmy Watson-winner Julian Langworthy and his wife Alana. The two met as
young winemakers in South Australia and have been producing their own side-project wines together for 10 years. Nocturne, however, is a serious new
venture producing single-vineyard wines from exceptional sites in Margaret River.

“Has a little dirt under its nails with a subtle sulphide stink, and also, something lifted and floral kind of like Moscato, tangy redcurrant and barely ripe
cherries, fennel tips, a fine chalky feel, a lot of energy, almost into white wine style, but with a bit of extra red berry oomph. Ruby red grapefruit zips up a nice
long finish. Really good, and I suspect it may improve a little as it settles into bottle”. Gary Walsh

#1.LW1 2017 Château de l’Escarelle Les Deux Anges / Grenache Provence, France
The rich style of rosé from this estate has produced an impressive cuvée. It is full, ripe and packed with red fruits. It is also lined with acidity, crisp lemon and
grapefruit flavors and a spicy character that adds complexity. This wine would be worth aging and drinking with the Christmas turkey.

*Food pairings for Rosé - The nearest equivalent to this style of rosé is crisp dry white wines such as Pinot Grigio and they’ll go with similar food:
principally light salads, light pasta and rice dishes, especially with seafood, raw and lightly cooked shellfish and grilled fish and goats’ cheeses. Perfect
         hot weather drinking.
