#1.LW1 2018 Portsea Estate Back Beach Mornington Peninsula, Vic
Back Beach Chardonnay is produced by Portsea Estate from premium grapes sourced from single vineyard, low yielding vines in the Red Hill region of
the Peninsula. Lifted, zesty, citrus aromas enhanced by subtle barrel influences and balanced by a fine textured palate.

“Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed to new and used French oak for 3-5 weeks fermentation and 10 months maturation. An elegant wine, poised and
balanced. White peach leads the flavour pack, with a tinkle of grapefruit chiming in on the back-palate and aftertaste”. James Halliday

#3.LW1 2018 Toolangi Reserve Block F Yarra Valley, Vic
Toolangi’s F Block--home to 17-year-old vines of the Gin Gin clone--has been identified as growing the best of the best Chardonnay that this Dixon’s
Creek vineyard produces. From the highest parcel of vines on the property, the first release under the new regime fruit was crushed and pressed with
full solids straight to oak (20% new), and both primary fermentation and malolactic were powered by wild yeasts. The wine then spent eight months on
         lees before bottling.

“Complex, delicious, regal-feeling, detailed chardonnay of softness, fruit forward nature and general appeal. Lots of subtle stone fruit, nougat, brown rice
and oatmeal scents, similar flavours, broad but appealing texture with a cool, flinty-saline-minerally-acid undertow set under. Has a very distinct character,
drinkability and appeal. Right in the zone.” 96 points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front

“Low crop, hand-picked, 17yo vines. Fermented wild, primary and secondary, before going into 20% new French oak for 8 months. Its bones are made of steel,
its flesh is made of peach, there’s gold in its hills of flavour and a ring to its finish. The table will have to do, but a bottle of this wouldn’t look out of place sat
perched on a throne. So much meal, so much length, so much mouthfeel to bring it all home.” 97 points, Campbell Mattinson,

#2.LW1 2017 Tarrawarra Estate Reserve Yarra Valley, Vic
The Reserve Wines reflect the heritage of the single Estate philosophy at TarraWarra, with the first vintage in 1986. The wines represent the best sites from
the Estate’s vineyards and are noted for their longevity and balance.
The heritage blocks of B and D have a north-west aspect and represent a perfect site for Chardonnay. The two blocks have deep soils and a cool micro-cli-
mate. 2017 was a later and cooler year in the Yarra Valley. The cold temperatures that persisted through Spring slowed fruit development, while January
and February brought perfect ripening conditions, with temperatures in the mid to high 20’s, and cool nights aiding retention of acid and fine flavour
         development.

“Light straw colour. The bouquet is restrained, rather tight and almost a little closed, showing straw and subtle toasted hazelnut nuances. It really blossomed
in the glass. The wine is lemony, citrusy, hazelnutty, honeyed, taut and refined on palate. It’s very light on its feet; a super-refined, utterly gorgeous chardonnay
of real complexity and finesse. (From original 1983 planted vines, B and D Blocks.)” – 98 Points Huon Hooke
