RED

#1.MW 2017 Ata Rangi Crimson / Pinot Noir Martinborough, NZ
One of the pioneers of the region, Clive Paton was one of the first to plant grapes on the Martinborough Terrace in 1980 and the winery has since gone
on to become a legend of the New Zealand wine industry. Home of the Gumboot clone of Pinot Noir, a cutting from the vineyards of Domaine de
la Romanée Conti allegedly smuggled back into the country by an enterprising Kiwi in a pair of gumboots. In 2010 Ata Rangi was honored with the
Tipuranga Teitei o Aotearoa award, New Zealand’s equivalent of Grand Cru status and wine-maker Helen Masters consistently produces some of the
countrie’s finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The 2017 season was cooler than average, delivering wines of complexity and vibrant acid structure. An enticing nose of mulberry and bramble fruits
complements a spice lift of tamarind paste and crushed sumac berry. The palate is long and textural with a thread of fine tannins.

#3.MW 2018 Yabby Lake Block 5 / Pinot Noir Mornington Peninsula, Vic
Yabby Lake Vineyard was established by the Kirby family in 1998, in Tuerong, which is located in the northern end of the Mornington Peninsula,
Victoria. Over the past decade, the vineyard has built a reputation for chardonnay and pinot noir of great purity and character under its Single Vineyard
         and Single Block Release labels.

“Hand-picked and sorted, gently destemmed, partial whole berry adherence for stems, 4 days cold soak, wild-fermented, 14 days on skins, pressed to tight-
grain puncheons for 8 months maturation. A layered palate interleaving velvety fruit and hints of forest on the long, medium-bodied palate. Trophy Best Pinot
Noir Mornington Peninsula Wine Show”. 96 points, James Halliday

#2.MW 2016 Zenato Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOCG Veneto, Italy
The Zenato winery possesses a strong link to the richness of its local history and culture, and continues to develop this connection today. The estate is
based in a territory that surrounds Lake Garda, with an extraordinary microclimate that allows for an optimal growing season. Cherishing a ‘frank and
simple’ approach to life, Zenato is committed to producing affordable wine of exceptional quality. With a passion for the land and a dedication to vigorous
research, innovation and quality improvement, Sergio Zenato strived to eclipse past results.

“A red with berry, chocolate and walnut aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, round and velvety. Savory and delicious. Extremely well done”.
         James Suckling

#2.MW 2014 Yalumba The Signature / Cabernet / Shiraz Barossa Valley, SA
Matured for 20 months in French, Hungarian and American oak. This ticks all the boxes, a rock of ages in the storm of Yalumba reds coming onto the
market, led by The Cayley, but numerous others seeking your company. The blackcurrant and blackberry fruit are in total harmony, and the overall
texture is of a high order thanks to the oak management, as well as that of the tannins. A standout from a vintage that had its challenges.

#1.MW 2015 Guigal Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge / Grenache blend Rhone Valley, France
One of the powerhouses of the Rhône and a name synonymous with beautifully crafted wines from some of the regions finest vineyard sites. Etienne
Guigal formed his own estate in 1946, and was joined by his son Marcel in 1961. They purchased the Château d’Ampuis in 1995, today fully restored, it is
the headquarters of the estate and home to the Guigal cooperage. Marcel’s son, Phillipe is the winemaker and Guigal produce a range of stunning wines
from across the terroirs of the Rhône.

“As usual, the 2015 Cotes du Rhone features a majority of Syrah, largely sourced from the western side of the Rhône. Spicy, peppery, hickory aromas lead off,
adding berries up front and then moving into darker fruit and more savory notes of black olive by the finish. This medium to full-bodied wine finishes long
and silky, avoiding any of the vintage’s hard tannins, while still boasting the concentration to drink well through at least 2023”. Robert Parker
