THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
AND THE NEARBY ADJACENT TOWNS
§ Great neighbors that are friendly, cooperative and collaborative.
§ For family outings when the grandchildren visit, it is always a tossup for
which attraction to visit first as they are all so enjoyable: Cranbury Park, Calf
Pasture Beach, Lockwood Mansion Children’s Museum, The Norwalk Aquarium,
Beardsley Zoo and Stew Leonard’s store, etc.
• Cranbury Park is a terrific close by location that our children and
grandchildren frequent for the play park areas, leisurely walking in the
forested areas and the section of the park that is open to off-leash animals.
• Calf Pasture Beach has been upgraded in recent years. It is hugely popular
in for beaching, picnicking and BBQ’s.
§ The extensive and excellent world class networks of doctors, hospitals and
medical facilities in the immediate areas around Norwalk and further afield as in
Greenwich.
§ Excellent and extensive shopping immediately in Norwalk and in adjacent
towns from full malls, (a large new one under construction in Norwalk that will be
anchored by Nordstrom and Bloomingdales), strip malls, local Mom and Pop shops.
§ An extensive wide range of Restaurants throughout all the towns in the region
and notably in nearby South Norwalk.
§ Excellent and reliable home service providers for oil and gas supply, for
installation and maintenance of utilities, garbage removal and services such as
gardens, lawns and snow plowing, etc.
§ Chestnut Hill Road is a moderate volume usage Federal Road (key service route
for emergency vehicles). When it snows it is promptly and frequently plowed and
salt treated. Our home has direct access to this road, so we can always safely and
effectively access it for emergencies, work and commuting. We also a very responsive
snow plow operator for the internal driveways in the development.
§ As frequent travelers and commuters, we appreciate the excellent access to highways
and railroads for commuting and getting around. Examples are Metro North Railways, (only
an hour to Manhattan’s Grand Central Station), I95 and the Merritt Parkway and key Airports
such as JF Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark, Westchester and Hartfield.
