COVID FREE PERA

The project made the public aware about the severity of the pandemic situation and made the

university premise a covid controlled environment.

Secondary Avenue COVID 19 Prevention

In a situation where COVID 19 has sunk the whole world to the bottom, “COVID Free Pera'' was born.

It was carried out in collaboration with "Stop the Spread" initiative in Rotary International District

3220, with the support of various other clubs and societies as well. The project was a roaring success

in making University students, the staff and the general public aware about the severity of the

pandemic situation and the necessary practices to reduce the spread. It was able to accomplish good

long term practices regarding hygiene and safety of the people as we would have to live with the

Coronavirus in the foreseeable future.

The premier physical step of COVID Free Pera

was the COVID Awareness Workshop which

was conducted following strict health protocols

at The Art Theatre of the University Of

Peradeniya. It was a very meaningful and an

informative session for all the participants who

wanted to fight against COVID 19.
