What an eventful year! I’m indeed proud to have been a part

of this dream team that accomplished wonders even during

this pandemic!

It was a great honour and a privilege to have served as the

Immediate Past President of one of the largest membership

Club in the Rotary International District 3220. As we all

know, this year has been a significant milestone for the

completion of 15 years of continuous service. In addition, I

was blessed enough to be a part of the very first Stop the

Spread - Rotaract initiative “COVID Free Pera”, signature

Professional Development initiative “NextStep 360”, District

Community Service initiative “CleanSL” and the 30 Rotaract

District Conference.

The year has flown by with many accomplishments, memorable occasions to innovative initiatives

and building friendships through our late-night Zoom calls. Thus, the 15 year of Rotaract Club of

University of Peradeniya has been a roller coaster ride to our club as we commenced over 40

initiatives across all avenues being grand than ever with the sole purpose of improving and

brightening up the lives of beautiful people around us, extending membership base for all the 9

faculties, and our public relations reach increasing over a hundred percent.

Since joining the Club in 2017, never did I ever see Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya come MESSAGE FROM THE IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT

together as one big family and perform beyond expectations. The new members are blooming

Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya to greater heights. At the outset, I wish to acknowledge the

support of the enthusiastic club members who made this enjoyable and remarkable. Rtr. Matheesha

Kumararadasa was selected to the Design & Branding Team in the Executive Council of Rotaract

South Asia MDIO 2021/22 and one member was selected to the Rotaract District Steering Committee

after 10 years are huge achievements of the Club.

I’ve seen many outstanding Presidents and all have left a significant legacy for their successor.

Witnessing the end of yet another successful year; the 15th year of Rotaract Club of University of

Peradeniya. I believe that Rtr. President Ravindu Seneviratne has done justice being an exceptional

leader and inspiration to bring glory to the club. We as a team can look back at this year with a sense

of pride and honour for the achievements and accomplishments we’ve acquired together. I indeed

believe that Rtr. President Ravindu Seneviratne and his team have achieved greater heights and “Be

the Exception”.
