His power over death amounts to defeat,
in a believer's life.
By sacricing His life on the cross,
Jesus Christ who has been incarnated
and who died for humanity made it
impossible for sin to rule humans.
Because of this, Friday became Good
Friday and Good Friday became most
important in global history, and also in
Salvation history. The people who lost
their relationship with God, who became
partakers in sin and death, are now
redeemed by him and through His death,
He conquered death.
1. The Serpent's Pillar and the Pillar
of Wooden Cross: In Numbers 21:1-9,
“Why have you brought us up out of
Egypt, to die in the wilderness? There is
no food and no water! And we loath this
worthless food!” The outrage of the
Israelites' voice, against God's patronage
and conduct, and the leadership of
Moses aroused the wrath of God. God,
Himself came down among them to
redeem the Israelites, who had been in a
state of servitude, for 430 years and had
lost hope, and God nourished them with
food and led them, gave them protection
through the pillars of re and cloud. But
they continued murmuring against God,
in the matter of food. Repeated murmur-
ings against God's providence, resulted
in the burning of God's wrath, in the form
of ery serpents. Even though the salva-
tion was there they forgot the providence
and the protection of God, and their crav-
ing for food, made them lose their life."
