Gallina's Story
I was born on Andalap many years ago, in earth time.
Andalap years are much longer, so that I am 35 there and
70 here on earth. My parents came to Andalap as
scientists, much as Twinkle's parents did. They allowed
me to pass through the education system, where I learned
mathematics and science, navigation, astronomy and
many skills to help me understand and travel the
universe. It was a wonderful education. Nevertheless, I
have seen that the strict emotional policy has kept the
people in restraints. They are very careful in their speech,
music and artistic expression. This was for good reasons
of course, fear of war being the main reason. In
Andalap's distant history, there were terrible battles,
much sorrow and no real progress. But there is much that
they could learn from earth, and vice versa.
When I was in college, I met a group of free thinkers
who wanted to experiment with their emotions. Some of
the teachers were interested in studying this subject as
