"Who are these scary blue-faced creatures?" they asked.
"Oh Gramma and Grampa. I am so glad to see you. Um
- did you plan a good dinner, because we haven't had
anything but blueberries for two days!"
"Well, we do have a good dinner for you. Let's go to
the cottage." Then Twinkle picked up a heron feather
and gave it to Gramma to put in her hair. But when they
arrived at the cottage, there were the Stars and Mirabel's
parents too, waiting to surprise them! They were all
staying for a visit, and then flying home, in an airplane
this time. Grampa noticed that the balloon needed some
work, and he planned to do that and to help pack it up
so that it could be stowed on the plane. Gramma served
a pretty good dinner and said that she might write a book
about the amazing trip.
