Thrilled and nervous, the girls did not move a finger,

but stood looking back at those dark, greenish eyes,

which somehow seemed familiar. Then the creature

vanished with no sound. Twinkle said that she thought

she had seen those eyes before, and Mirabel agreed, but

they could not think of where. They ran back to the

cottage as fast as they could to tell the others what they

saw. Sarah thought it was funny that a fox should show

up on Fox Point Road. She and Ashley decided to go for

a walk to look for the fox, but there was no sign of it.

That evening, they all headed for Oakville and went right

to bed.
