prepared at the program level. They also lead to evaluate the improvement plans and follow up on

            its implementation for all courses, (Annex S1-2-2-13). Analysis of course report was  discussed and

            approved by  the  Mechanical engineering department council No. 1  (Annex S1-2-2-14).  The
            academic program for the  department  of Mechanical engineering was  developed  based  on

            feedback  from the opinions  of employers and  the quality of graduates, based on  the Al-Baha

            University academic program development guide, (Annex S1-2-2-15). It was also sent to a first and
            second reviewer to review and make comments in order to include them in the final regulations

            for  the year 1445. Section twenty-one  council  The  first reviewer’s  observations of the plan

            developed for  the section  were discussed,  (Annex S1-2-4-16),  Section twenty-two  Council the

            second reviewer’s observations of the plan developed for the section were discussed, (Annex S1-2-

            4-17), and discussing and approving the department’s developed plan for the academic year 1445
            by the Mechanical engineering department council No.  24  (Annex S1-2-4-18).  Discussing the

            update and approval  of the  department’s program compatibility report with  the national

            framework (NQF) for qualifications  for  the current  academic year 1445 by  the  Mechanical
            engineering department council No. 2 (Annex S1-2-4-19).


            Overall Evaluation for Quality of the Standard:

            Strengths:

                •  The Mechanical engineering program  has a clear mission related  to educational and
                    operational objectives that consist of the college and university’s mission and goals.

                •  The program is controlled by specialized councils (College Council, Department Council)

                    that have specific responsibilities and powers.

                •  The program management is committed to the development and improvement of
                    administrative staff's  professional skills and capacities in order  to stay up  with

                    contemporary advancements.

                •  The program management establishes a quality assurance and management system that is

                    in accordance with the institution's quality system.
                •  Program management  establishes key performance indicators  that correctly assess

                    program success and manages data delivery on a regular basis.
