12. Project Implementation
A. D Day
Once the project gets the green light, a local lawyer must be engaged to
write contracts, provide recommendations as to the appropriate type of
company to be created taking in consideration the tax laws, both, local and
foreign. Then proceed to open the local company.
B. EPC Contracts
The projects described in this undertaking will be built on a turn-key basis
which is defined as an EPC scope. Under a defined scope, the contractor will
prepare the detailed engineering, procure the material and equipment and
construct and commission the facility.
Under the EPC contract, the contractor will deliver the completed facility for
a guaranteed price and within a guaranteed schedule.
The contractor will closely coordinate with the client’s project manager at all
times to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. The following clauses will be
included in the contract:
