21.1 Business coaching
One evening, I was with two friends and we were talking

about the fact that one of the GAFAM companies (Google,
Amazon, Facebook, Apple and Microsoft) had exceeded 1,000
billion in market capitalization. On my way home,
I remember thinking, despite these huge numbers, basically
these companies are still made up by people, and at their
level, not much had changed.
A few days later, I heard from another friend about some

powerful tools for creating websites. A third element of my
thinking was still linked to the fact of untapped skills.
Putting all this together, I decided to create my own website
to offer the various services I felt I had something to offer.
So, I created www.omcvf.com, and as I built it, several ideas

took root.
The most obvious idea was "coaching", as this was in line
with the gap I'd noticed in the organization of today's society
with regard to people starting work and people in
retirement. So I started spreading the word and landed my
first assignment in May-June 2019. According to the person
who left feedback on the website, this mission was a real
success.
I've coached other individuals who were just as pleased.
I mention these two examples not to make myself look good,
but to emphasise that business coaching - even before
retirement - is an avenue that should be explored further.
