VOCATIONAL IN AUTOMOTIVE

It is indeed a pleasure for me to present the Automotive engineering department report

for 2025. The aspiration to catch up with the developed countries and rapid changes in

technology has brought in challenges to our vehicle mechanical education system and
with the increate focus of the government towards the trade industry in Fiji. The subject

of an AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING provides the fundamental platform to train students

for the extensive range of career opportunities.

To reach the heady heights of achievements, a person must have courage, dedication,
discipline and most important of all, must never take his eyes off his goal. The key to

success is to have the courage to pursue their goals, thus, the department is aimed to

construct learning and holistic development of a child’s focusing on their theory and

practical aspects of the course.

The aim is to incorporate values which can be applied to all facets of life, values like self-

identity, sustainability and higher order of thinking skills. To achieve this, students are

encouraged to participate actively in classes, practical and other activities. Students are

motivated to articulate their ideas and views and it is ensured that teachers respond to
the students need to promote quality interaction and learning.

Finally, I wish to convey my sincere thanks and appreciation to the administration, the

management board, other colleagues and all those who have helped in facilitating for yet

another successful year.
