                                     Emma Day...

                                     RIP Harley Fetterman. Although I
didn't have any classes with Harley in
high school (he was always in
advanced classes), I did however get to
spend my middle school years in the
same classes as him. When I was in
sixth grade, Harley and I were both in
the same reading/ELA class. After a few
months of school, we both ended up
being in the hospital at the same time. I
was in the hospital on behalf of my
birth defect (MLVN) and Harley was in
the hospital again kicking cancer's butt.

After I had been released, I went to visit Harley and I remember
the nurse having to come in and draw his blood. I stood there and
held his hand and ended up feeling light headed (I don't do well with
blood). In the end, Harley ended up having to comfort me while HE
got his blood drawn. He was always so tough and had an amazing
way of making everyone smile. We ended up being assigned to do a
project together while we were still recovering at home after both
being discharged from the hospital. I remember going over to
Harley's house and the moment I came inside he said, "this is my
house, I don't know what it looks like but here it is." Even with him
living most of his life blind, he never let that hold him back and his
sarcastic jokes became better and better. You will be missed dearly by
so many people Harley. Thank you for being my friend and making
me laugh through a difficult time for me. Rest in peace and fly high!
