                                                                         What is the biggest bass
                                                                            you’ve ever caught?

There is always that one that got ANGLER’S POINT
away, but we won’t talk about
                                                                       that one. Biggest fully caught
bass to date would be roughly 4
                                                                       pounds. I’m looking to change
                                                                       that SOON!!!

                                                                   Which anglers do

                                                                   you admire?

I am brand new to the tournament fishing world, but there are a few people that stand out. My
home base cheering section and fishing partners top the list. My youngest child (Trevor) and
my boyfriend (Richard) are two of my biggest supporters. All of the women I have met through
LBAA and the WBT Tri-State Federation Chapter.
My first out of state tournament with WBT at Lake Fork, Texas in March 2022. Two ladies
stand out specifically. My boater for that tournament, Denise Sustaita, was an absolute plea-
sure to be paired with. I absolutely can’t end this section without giving a BIG shout out and
thank you to Wendy Kendrick. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly.

What is your favor- My home lake, Ross Barnett Reservoir. The prettiest place I think I’ve seen so
ite fishery? far was the sunrise over Lake Verrett - Louisiana, when I rode along as pho-
tographer for a tournament there two years ago.

When did you I’ve been fishing for fun since I was a little girl. I learned to fish with my par-
learn to fish? ents and grandparents at our farm ponds.

What is your favorite I enjoy learning new techniques, especially practicing them when its exactly
technique? what the fish are biting. Specifically soft plastics, Texas rigged with a yo-yo
                                     style retrieve.
What is your least favorite technique?

Anything that involves fishing a bait with a treble hook attached to it. They give me fits. I’m not so good
at catching the bass with them, but I’m great at hooking myself, limbs, docks, and everything else around
     me. I’m working on it!!!
What would you recommend to I would say, “Do It!” definitely. The worst that could
someone thinking about fishing the possibly happen is you won’t like it but at least you will

tour or getting into fishing? have tried!
What is your goal or what are your goals for 2022?
My goal for 2022 is to simply become a better angler. My goal for each tournament and in life in general is
to connect with other people with like interests, learn something new from everyone I meet and share what
I know in return, represent my family and home state with pride and good sportsmanship and to help pre-
serve our natural resources and introduce more ladies to fishing and the outdoors. A limit at every tourney
and finishing in the money here and there to pad the fishing fund wouldn’t really hurt my feelings either.
