What is your overall take on Logan Martin the last couple of weeks in October?

Logan Martin is a great spotted bass fishery and especially good fall fishery. This holds
true especially by end of October and into November. Spots become the most active and
agressive during the fall timeframe. Focus on the main river, main creeks. The first pattern
to look for is fish out on the gravel bars and flats. Bass will be chasing baits on the main

river and the first quarter of the main creek pockets. If it’s cloudy, the fish will school all day.
The second pattern is dock fishing utilizing jigs and any craw patterns.

Is there an area or section of the lake that for you has historically been productive?

Gravel bars and flats. Current will obviously play a role. Fish will position themselves for the
current to push bait past the ambush points.

This is the first year that the lake will only be dropped 3’ instead of 5’ for the normal
winter pool. How do you feel this will play into where the fish will set up and where
and how anglers will target them?

This change will not matter a lot if any. The fish will still move out to the gravel bars and flats
off the main lake points.

What sets the Boyd Duckett series of baits apart from
other lures and lure companies?

We are not as financially motivated as other companies. We of
course must make profits. We spend more time creating stuff

that is cool and makes a difference in the angler’s day. Our
baits are tournament ready!

What prompted you to start your own rod and bait series?

I’ve fished and worked my whole life. I’ve owned a variety of
businesses throughout my life. Most have been profitable and
now I have gotten to a place where I can focus on my passion
of fishing. We work with our pros and are constantly striving to
make the best on the water proven products possible. I am an
entrepreneur and have been since I was six years old.
