Fine Arts: Dance


            •  Intro Ballet and Lyrical Dance: (Ages 7-10) emphasis on posture, arm positions, correct pointing of feet and
               body alignment as well as jumps both large and small, moving to rhythm and best of all a whole lot of fun!! Fill in
               anything else that sounds good! Boys welcome!!!! Great class for students who have outgrown the tots class.
               Teacher: Amy Stahlman Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly class


            •  Classical Ballet: Level I- (Ages 11 and up)- Students who have had at least one year of ballet training and have
               mastered ballet 1. This level will begin focusing on building the ballet steps, incorporating por de bras or arm
               positions with the footwork and preparation for different types of turns. Upon mastering the preparation,
               students will move on to executing the turn. Students will increase allegro vocabulary and learn a variation to
               perform at the recital. Teacher: Amy Stahlman Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly class


            •  Ballet Technique and Pointe – Intermediate and advanced Barre (Instructor permission to enroll is required)
               Students with prior ballet experience. Emphasis on proper technique, posture and form, expanding ballet
               vocabulary and performance. Students will do a barre, center and learn formal classical ballet variations
               including Blue Bird from Sleeping Beauty and Lilac Fairy. Students that are "pointe- ready" may add this class in
               January if they would like. Requirements: Students choosing to take this class MUST come on both Monday and
               Wednesday. Teacher: Amy Stahlman Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly class


            •  Christian Tap Dance I: Beginning- (For students 6 or 7 years and up) **May be offered 2018-2019** The rhythm
               and movement of tap, created by the metal taps on the heels and toes of a dancer’s shoes, transforms the
               dancer into a percussive musician. Tap dance emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching the dancer to find
               rhythms and beats not only in music but in their own bodies. Teacher: Tanya Fisher Recommended Donation of
               $12 per weekly class


            •  Christian Tap Dance 2: Intermediate- (8 years and up) This class is for students who have mastered the basic
               techniques from level 1. (This usually takes more than 1 year in the level 1 class. Home practice will speed up
               progress of course!) Intermediate tap is a faster paced, challenging, but super fun class! Pre-requisites:
               minimum of 1 year in Tap 1, a positive attitude, and dedication to home practice! Teacher: Tanya Fisher
               Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly class

            •  Christian Tap Dance 2/3: Intermediate/Advanced- This year we will add a mixed level class. The advanced
               students will be slowing down a bit to work on their technique and intermediate students will be working to
               enhance and improve the skills they have already learned. Pre-requisites: minimum of 1 year in Tap 1, a positive
               attitude, and dedication to home practice! If you're unsure of your level, please ask! Teacher: Tanya Fisher

            •  Christian Tap Dance 3: Advanced- Same description as above only students will be given more advanced steps
               and combinations. Audition may be required. Teacher: Tanya Fisher Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly
               class
