GO LOOK, This is how it all starts. First
have your dog in front of you, be collected
and calm and start with intention. If the
animals are over the hill or out of sight just
say, GO LOOK.
If you can see the animals, start the dog on
the side that best fits the fetch. With your
dog on your left side if sending him off in
the left direction say Go Bye or instead if
starting on your right side, say Way to Me.
The dog should take off in the direction
intended, secure the cattle or sheep and
begin the process of returning them to you.
If the dog is too close to the cows or sheep
when approaching them say Out.
There is no whistle command for the start of
the fetch, only voice commands.
