DOGS FOR BETTER LIVES

ogs for Better Lives (DBL) was honored on February 15 as the national recipient of
DElite Hearing Network’s (EHN) annual Summit fundraiser, held in Cancun, Mexico.
More than 300 audiologists from across the United States convened to learn how they could
customize their businesses to meet the needs of their patients. The Elite Hearing Summit
organizers host an Awards Night to recognize and benefit a nonprofit making a significant
impact in the lives of their members.
DBL was selected as the 2018 beneficiary, with a live fundraiser supporting the national non-
profit’s Hearing Assistance Dog program. As of early spring, the EHN Summit attendees had
raised a record $122,000 in support of DBL, with donation commitments still coming in.

“Dogs for Better Lives is thrilled. We appreciated the tremendous opportunity to share the
great work our assistance dogs do every day for our clients who are deaf or hard of hearing,”
says DBL’s President and CEO Blake Matray.

“The impact Dogs for Better Lives have on their hearing-impaired clients is remarkable and
we are proud to recognize such an honorable organization,” stated Mary Anne Stangby, SVP
Elite Hearing Network at the Awards Night.
