NEW OWNERSHIP

AT BLUE GIRAFFE

ulie Gaulden of Yreka and Nila Gaulden of
JMedford are excited to announce their own-
ership of The Blue Giraffe Day Spa and Salon in
Ashland. The mother-daughter team purchased
from owners James and Patricia Kolker, who
founded the spa in 2002. Voted Best Spa in
Ashland for ten years in a row, The Blue Giraffe
has become a beloved attraction in Southern
Oregon. Nila and Julie took ownership shortly
before the shelter in place was declared in
March, and have been tirelessly working during
the closure to breathe new life into the spa.

They plan to continue the legacy of exceptional
service and unique experience while expand-
ing services currently offered. “We are honored
and excited to be working with a wonderful
staff and to be a part of the beautiful com-
munity that is Ashland,” says the duo. The Blue
Giraffe reopened Friday, May 15. The Gauldens
have been adhering to the new regulations set
in place for Phase One of Oregon’s reopening.
They are currently open by appointment only
and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
