CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF WINEMAKING
ne of the oldest wineries in the Rogue Valley is commemorating
O30 years of winemaking. This summer, Weisinger Family Winery
will celebrate 30 vintages on Saturday, July 28 with a 30th Anniversary
Party at the winery with music, food, and wine. Eric and John Weisinger
will host the 30th annual Winemaker's Dinner on August 10. Truffle
Pig Craft Kitchen has not yet announced the dinner menu, but historic
wines will definitely be poured.
John Weisinger had a long-time dream of owning a winery, and when
he retired from the Presbyterian ministry, he took on that dream.
In 1988, Weisinger Family Winery was established as one of the first
vineyards planted in Southern Oregon. John purchased vines from his
friend, Frank Wisnovsky, founder of Valley View Winery (1978). Today
John’s son Eric serves as the winemaker and General Manager.
