Memories

Memories are often misused and misunderstood.

Memories have a purpose other than the idle

meanderings of part of the human mind. Memories can

also be the useful recall of the spiritual mind; they can be

your “Guardian Angel”, your “higher self” guiding your

ego. But this can only happen with permission from your

ego. As God does not interfere in your life, neither can

your higher self, your Spirit. In the hypothesis that we

have free will, we normally accept that this licence

extends to our ego, whereas in fact it stops with our

Spirit. Our ego takes it as its right also, because that’s

what egoism does. This is where memories come in and

remind us that this is not the case. Too often we choose

to ignore them or select the negative ones to preoccupy

our thoughts. This is the domain of the subconscious

controlling the life of the subject it is seeking to have
power over.
