and reunite the aspect of God that resides within your body
with its ‘Father’ Spirit, and this is why it is called spiritual.
You are never left on your own, unless of course you wish to
be. It is not within the nature of any Spirit to seek solitude and
to be without the companionship of it’s Spirit kin. In Spiritual
Meditation the part of the human being that might require this
isolation is ‘switched off’ and the Spirit is released to
naturally reconnect with its fellows. This ‘switching off’ is the
most difficult part of the meditation session. It requires a
certain amount of physical consciousness to produce this. If
you like, the ego needs to be ‘fooled’ into thinking it is still
active. When one begins the process of meditating they will
find all kinds of thoughts intruding upon what they are trying
to do. There are all sorts of expressions that are recommended
such as “going within”, “entering the silence” and so on.
These are to occupy the ego, to give it something to do and in
no way are achievable as they are nonsensical. Once the ego is
distracted it can be left to work away doing what egos do best.
All the while the spiritual consciousness is releasing itself to
commune with its own activity, to reconnect to God without
interference or distraction from its accompanying earth
transport. This can often be experienced in moments that are
called day dreams, and at other times could be called
unknown or unrecognised preoccupations. You will have had
those moments when to all intents and purposes you
experienced a loss of awareness of the conversation of another
or the awareness of their presence, as your mind switched into
a parallel existence that they were not part of. Of course there
