isn’t a parallel world but there is a parallel consciousness
whilst one is incarnate or in the soul state and it is that
consciousness that is your spiritual consciousness. The
momentary ‘slip’ into that consciousness only shows you that
your predominant consciousness is for that physical world and
that you need to learn how to combine the two
consciousnesses, and thus enable you to live a fuller and more
spiritual life while still incarnate. As we said earlier, you are
never alone especially when you are aware of God. So we can
see how the twenty three year old might feel when they are
spiritually unaware. They will feel very much on their own.
The last few years of their life has been a further drift away
from spiritual reality and often even a drift away from the
support they might have felt through religion. They will seek
more physical company in an attempt to feel part of life. They
will seek to belong. The only life they know is that which is
provided by the social system and very often their hunger for
that which they are unaware of will take them into
environments that are unwholesome and spiritually
‘dangerous’ in so far as they will often find a certain solace
that will numb the draw of their spiritual foundation and
provide them temporary relief from the pangs of separation
from God. Unfortunately this form of escapism can become
addictive and they conflict the pain of not having God in their
lives with not having the numbing substance to placate their
unidentifiable hunger. Their life is not out of control but is
under the wrong control. Their behaviour becomes
conditioned by the now control, be that control the control of
the state, religion, or the many substances provided through
the social structure they are subscribing to. Whichever it is, it
is not good if it’s not God.
