get what they expect they would think that it is you who are
crazy. They fail to recognise that their life is living up to their
pessimistic expectations. That they seek to try to achieve
something countless times without success, and on each
repeat occasion using the same formula to achieve it, they
become the victim of their own egos. Their ego constantly
reassures them that they are right to seek the outcome they
desire, their pessimism lets them only see the pitfalls and they
fall into the pit because their pessimistic attitude says they
will and “isn’t that what always happens”, they tell
themselves. The optimist however will have a more spiritual
understanding and realise that it’s not the ‘trying’ that beings
about success but the ‘doing’ that carries the rewards. The
optimists will also question their ‘failures’ in a positive light
and get the understanding that the ‘doing’ that failed was not
caused by bad luck or due to any other factor other than it was
not the right way, and also they will gain the knowledge of
not doing it that way again. Optimism is the more spiritual
way, the way of living and learning. No action is a mistake; it
is a test on your part. You are constantly testing yourself. If
you don’t realise this then you are not approaching life from
the spiritual way. Many fear tests. Have you ever questioned
yourself as to why you have this fear? It is your fear of
failure; fear that you are not good enough? Your Spirit knows
this is not true but it is your ego that experiences this fear.
There is nothing to fear and the adult at this stage in life is
fearful whether they acknowledge it or not. No matter how
confident they are they will always have this background
feeling that everything can suddenly change. They have no
resource that will allay this fear unless they have spiritual
awareness. Spiritual awareness will constantly reassure them
