P. 67
It is unfortunate that adults do not let the child grow at its own
pace in its own time. The child is not the blank canvas that the
adult needs to fill with it's own impressions. As we have said,
the child has no life without its Spirit and it's Spirit won't let it
down. While adults see to determine what they think is best
for the child they fail to listen to the child. It is obvious the
child cannot yet verbally communicate with the world around
it but should we listen with our own Spirit we will "hear" the
child express it's needs. Mothers especially are good at this
listening, certainly in the past, but in these times they seem to
be less inclined to give time to this. If we watch how other
animals care for their young it might awaken in the human the
instincts that were once present. We might also watch how the
young of other animals achieve their independence earlier
than the human young. Humans in modern society are
forgetting so much and as a consequence are loosing their
potential for independence and increasing dependency on a
system that is not dependable.
Now we can see why it is so important for us to meet our
child half way in communication. One your Spirit friend told
you they would go all the way to meet you and they knew you
would go all the way to meet them. Your Friend knew how far
"all the way" was but you only knew how far your awareness
could take you. At that time your "all the way" barley took
you out of physical/ego consciousness, but now it is different
and you can successfully enter into Spirit consciousness, and
that is how we can communicate. With a child the situation is
reversed, they can barely move out of Spirit consciousness
