concentrate on trying to make the child perfect, by what
criteria are we measuring this "perfection" by. The child will
pick up our expectations and will respond to them as it feels
compelled to do, by the social pressures it is learning to apply.
These social pressures will overtake the spiritual awareness it
has and the spiritual side of its nature begins to make way for
its ego to grow and take over. The conflict begins to favour
the ego.
It is important at this stage that the role of parent or carer of
any child is not seen to be denigrated. It is a very important
and serious role and needs to be seen by all as such. This role
should not be considered a duty. This role is a privilege.
When the body has been selected as a suitable vehicle to
transport a Spirit through its human life journey it is done so
with God's blessing, no matter how long or short that journey
may be. In choosing the body the Spirit is also choosing the
parents and any other carer the parents might choose to
partake in the child's upbringing. It is without question that
every participant in the child's life, especially the early years,
will manifest the qualities for which they have been chosen.
One would wonder why, in some instances, certain people
might have been chosen but then that is a question only the
incumbent Spirit can answer. Suffice to say they are chosen
well.
Every parent, or carer will do what they consider to be their
best, and that for the Spirit is good enough. Let no one
criticise any parent or carer for any child. These comments
might appear to some as condoning the torture and abuse
