The Story of Alfred Hanisch and the Mysterious Trunk
This is the story of a forgotten army trunk found at
the museum that was filled with WWII artifacts.
This trunk was shipped to the Carnegie Museum
from Alaska. Let’s take a journey of discovery of the
artifacts found in this trunk and the life of the man
behind the contents.

Pick up time will be provided during drop off.
Leif with Super Sharp will be on-site to sharpen your scissors and
knives. Pay him directly and he accepts cash, checks and credit cards.
Drop off your items at the van located in the parking lot at 9:00am. You
will be provided a pick-up time during drop-off.

Friday, October 29th
Reserve your pumpkin by Friday, October 22nd at The
Retreat.
Pumpkins will be available for pick up at noon on Monday, October 25th
at The Retreat. Please drop off carved pumpkins by 8:30am on the 29th.
All residents are invited for cookies and sparkling cider from 9am-3pm.
Stop by and vote for your favorite pumpkin before 3pm! Winners
announced at 3:30pm - need not be present to win.

The story of Audie Murphy.
Broadway and film veteran Duffy Hudson, who has just been named
Best One Man Show in Los Angeles, has created a memorable bio-play
of America’s most decorated hero of the Second World War. This 45
minute one-man performance will showcase the WWII Adventures of
Audie Murphy, his life and his crusade to help Veterans with PTSD.

It’s getting to be that time of the year again, and as we reflect back to the
holidays of the past, for most of us there comes an intensity.
Maybe even the word “holidays” causes you to sigh. But why the sigh?
What are the holidays like for you? How are they affecting your health?
Are you overly stressed, overly anxious, overspending, overeating,
overcommitment...oh my goodness let’s be over all of that. If you are in
agreement then let’s agree to be done with all of that and not repeat this
year what has happened in previous years.
What if you could truly enjoy the holidays without having to constantly
stress about everything? What if the holidays didn’t have to take a toll
on your health? In this program we will spend 8 weeks doing things
differently, and getting back to what the holidays are all about. So many
times we get stuck in the “should” and guilting ourselves when we don’t
follow through on those “should”. “Shoulds” don’t help us to follow
through with achieving the best health of our lives. In this program, will
switch our thinking from “I can’t” to “I can”, from “too hard” to “so
easy”. How would your life be if you were able to go through the
holidays and not sacrifice your health? Let me show you how easy and
fun it can be.
