Hi Neighbors,
It has been an exciting month
for our pen pals! Yes, 26 of
our residents are pen pals for a
3rd grade class at Woodbridge
Elementary School. Mrs. Lee,
one of the 3rd grade teachers
is teaching the kiddos cursive writing. She thought it would be fun,
and we sure do too, to have the students practice writing in cursive to
one of our volunteers on a monthly basis. Because they are learning
cursive writing some of the first letters were printed. But not only are
they writing us letters they are drawing us a picture too! This month
we wrote about our favorite childhood memory of school, or memory
when we were in third grade, along with our favorite color and
food. We do have a waiting list but if you are interested in being a
pen pal just let us know and we will put you on the list.
