Q & A



        Question:  Why does the kitchen need to be expanded?
        Answer:   The  size  of  our  kitchen  is  as  it  was  built  in  1984.    Over  the  years,  we  have

        made various renovations to our dining venues, but nothing has been done to increase the
        size  of  our  kitchen.  With  our  increased  interest  in  our  dining  services,  our  kitchen  staff
        struggle to meet our current dining needs, let alone service a more casual dining facility.


        Question: What will happen if we don’t expand the kitchen into the
        Administrative Office?
        Answer: If we don’t expand the kitchen into the Administrative Office then we continue
        as  we  are  now.    We  will  continue  to  struggle  with  our  current  dining  services  as  the
        demand for dining increases.  We will not be able to prepare and serve bar snacks and
        host  a  more  formal  event  on  the  same  evening.    We  will  not  be  able  to  host  a  private
        function as well as host a Member event on the same evening.

        Question: Will any of our recreational facilities be affected during the period of
        construction?

        Answer:  To provide a staging area for the construction and access needed to the areas
        under construction, the following areas may be affected:

               a) The Playground and Basketball Court will need to be closed for a significant part
                   of the construction.

               b) The Tennis parking lot will need to be devoted to the Contractors’ equipment and
                   staging of materials.

               c)  In order to accommodate construction vehicles necessary to build the new Cart

                   Barn and Fitness Center for a period of time, the 9  hole may be needed to be
                   converted to a PAR 3.  This allows us room to stage our golf carts on the area of
                         th
                   the 9  hole near the green and accommodate a path for the construction vehicles
                   to get to the area where the new proposed Cart Barn and Fitness Center will be
                   located.
               d) An area to the right of the porte-cochere where you enter the Clubhouse will be
                   used as a staging area for construction materials.  However, a path will be left for
                   access to the current Fitness Center and Pool.

               e) Individuals  wanting  to  access  the  golf  course  and  practice  facilities  may,  for  a
                   period of time, need to come via the path on the first hole from Bocaire Blvd.
               f)  The  back  side  of  the  driving  range  will  become  the  primary  area  used  for
                   individuals seeking to warm up or practice.


        Question: Why do we need a new Fitness Center?

        Answer:   We  need  to  expand  the  kitchen  into  the  Administrative  space.  We  cannot
        increase  the  footprint  of  the  Clubhouse,  so  we  need  to  find  somewhere  for  the
        Administrative Office to be located.  By putting a second floor on a new cart barn, it could
        be housed up there, but wouldn’t you rather have a Fitness Center with a view rather than
        Administrative Offices with a view?
