are at the centre of
all we do
he month of May is always a buzz of activity here at the W&RSETA as
Twe are all systems go and are on full steam to implement our plans
for the new financial year.
We are excited to share with you some of our highlights which include
the biggest gathering of black businesses - the 2022 Black Business
Summit that was held on 19 and 20 May in Johannesburg. The Black
Business Summit is one of those key stakeholder events that seeks to
provide insights into the challenges and trajectory of the business sector
in South Africa. It is a platform through which we are able to identify
the needs of our constituent stakeholders and highlight the W&RSETA’s
contribution to economic growth through our skills development
initiatives.
Still on developments, our CEO, Tom Mkhwanazi embarked on his
annual stakeholder engagement programme for the year 2022/23
on 11 May in Mpumalanga. The stakeholder programme is part of
his commitment to interact with stakeholders on the strategic direction

currently finalising allocations for Discretionary Grants for the year
