Adela Mathabela completed a New Venture Creation
learnership with Mica in 2016 and is currently
responsible for the art department at Mica Nelspruit.
Learners at Mica Nelspruit were ecstatic to receive the CEO
and shared their experience of the learnership programmes.
Mica Nelspruit was the overall winner of the W&RSETA’s 2016
Good Practice Award under the small category for its remarkable
contribution to skills development. The company’s participation in
the SETA’s programmes has since increased significantly

The session was followed by company visits to the Spar Lowveld
Distribution Centre and Mica in Nelspruit. An active participant
in the W&RSETA’s programmes since the early years of the
SETA’s inception, Spar DC thanked the W&RSETA for its strategic
partnership in the growth of the company. The company shared
some success stories of employees and graduates who had been
developed into management positions through the W&RSETA’s
programmes.
