Celebrating the gains
of skills development
ctober was another eventful month where we celebrated milestones
Oin the implementation of skills development in the Wholesale and
Retail Sector.
The W&RSETA made history with the sod-turning ceremony geared towards
the construction of our first skills development centre in Groblersdal,
Limpopo.
The event to mark the construction of our Sekhukhune Skills Development
Centre was honoured by Minister Blade Nzimande on 21 October 2021.
I invite you to share in our vision for this centre on page 2.
While still on that celebratory note, we also marked the successful
completion of training programmes for275 informal traders from the
Small Traders Empowerment Programme in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu
Natal. We also celebrated with the 43 learners who graduated from
learnership programmes with our stakeholder company, Matus.

the W&RSETA’s skills development programmes for young people through

event.
