The R146 million Sekhukhune Skills Development Centre in
Groblersdal, Limpopo is due for completion in 2023 and will
produce skilled artisans from the province.
This landmark development is visionary of the W&RSETA and was
approved in 2019 before infrastructure support for TVET colleges
was a requirement.
One of the objectives of the National Skills Development Plan
2030 that came into effect in 2020 is to provide infrastructure
support to TVET colleges in response to the demand for artisans
in South Africa.
The landmark centre will provide a training facility to produce Programme Director,
artisans in different sectors including wholesale and retail, and will MEC Polly Boshielo
