     W&RSETA Employer Workplace-

     Based Learning (WBL) Tracer
     Study: internship

     T   he Wholesale and Retail SETA is embarking on a tracer and

         tracking study to determine whether we have delivered on our
     mandate to on the implementation of Workplace-Based Learning
     programmes in the sector through stakeholder feedback. We
     request our stakeholder companies to participate in this study by
     sharing the experience you have had with our funded internship
     programme. We want to determine the programme has met your
     expectations and, if not, what are the areas of improvement.
     The survey takes only 3-5 minutes to complete, but your input will
     shape the W&RSETA’s approach on internships for the future.

     Please note  that your personal information  is protected  under
     confidentiality, and such information will not be shared with the

                                                              The new Wholesale and Retail Leadership Chair: Gauteng,
                                                              Dr Beate Stiehler-Mulder (based at the University of
                                                              Johannesburg), would like to hear from you.

                                                              The establishment of the third Leadership Chair of the W&RSETA at
                                                              UJ aims to contribute to the development and professionalisation
                                                              of the wholesale and retail industry with a strong drive to
                                                              encourage sector specific research and skills development, and
                                                              to prepare for the opportunities presented by the 4th Industrial
                                                              Revolution.

                                                              To ensure that relevant research is conducted and that critical skills
                                                              in need of development in the sector are accurately identified,
                                                              engagement with the Wholesale and Retail industry on these two
                                                              topics is crucial.

                                                              The Chair would therefore like to invite stakeholders in Gauteng to
                                                              share their thoughts on the most critical research and skills needs
                                                              in the Wholesale and Retail sector. You can do so, by clicking on
                                                              the link below. Should you also want to become involved with the
                                                              Chair (e.g. as an industry board member / talk on the Chair’s
                                                              podcast series / be a speaker at one of the Chair’s events), there
