STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
W&RSETA Employer Workplace-
Based Learning (WBL) Tracer
Study: internship
T he Wholesale and Retail SETA is embarking on a tracer and

mandate to on the implementation of Workplace-Based Learning
programmes in the sector through stakeholder feedback. We
request our stakeholder companies to participate in this study by
sharing the experience you have had with our funded internship

expectations and, if not, what are the areas of improvement.
The survey takes only 3-5 minutes to complete, but your input will
shape the W&RSETA’s approach on internships for the future.
Please note that your personal information is protected under

Engage with the W&RSETA
Leadership Chair at UJ
The new Wholesale and Retail Leadership Chair: Gauteng,
Dr Beate Stiehler-Mulder (based at the University of
Johannesburg), would like to hear from you.
The establishment of the third Leadership Chair of the W&RSETA at
UJ aims to contribute to the development and professionalisation
of the wholesale and retail industry with a strong drive to
encourage sector specific research and skills development, and
to prepare for the opportunities presented by the 4th Industrial
Revolution.
To ensure that relevant research is conducted and that critical skills
in need of development in the sector are accurately identified,
engagement with the Wholesale and Retail industry on these two
topics is crucial.
The Chair would therefore like to invite stakeholders in Gauteng to
share their thoughts on the most critical research and skills needs
in the Wholesale and Retail sector. You can do so, by clicking on
the link below. Should you also want to become involved with the
Chair (e.g. as an industry board member / talk on the Chair’s
podcast series / be a speaker at one of the Chair’s events), there
is an opportunity to provide your details and express your interest
on the form.
Click here to access the form.
Kind regards,
Dr Beate Stiehler-Mulder
