Aim of the activity
Plastic is everywhere nowadays. People are using it endlessly.
Without realising how it is harming our planet. We need to
become aware of the consequences so that we can stop plastic
pollution. Children if taught from their childhood to avoid
using single use plastic will ensure that as adults they will act
more responsible.
The aim of the project was to spread awareness among the
students about the single use plastic bags and the sheer
volume of plastic waste it generates. With an aim to
understand its impact on the environment a study was
undertaken to understand how Nepal deal with this issue.
The idea was to make students understand the gravity of the
situation and encourage them to discuss and find alternative
solutions to the given problem.
The students of Std. VII and VIII, being part of this project
will learn what is the single use plastic? How it is affecting
the whole earth, including mankind, wildlife, and aquatic
life. A comparative study of countries like Nepal, China,
India, Bhutan and U.K with help them understand how this
menace impacts other countries and how they deal with it.
They will also understand how simple habits of using a cloth

bag can make a big difference.
