Uses

Insecticide, a pesticide, and as a (fish killer).

Rotenone is also used in powdered form to treat scabies and

head lice on humans, and parasitic mites on chickens, livestock,

and pet animals.

5-Flavono-lignans derivatives

Fruits of Milk thistle: Silybum marianum , contain a mixture of flavonolignans ( silymarin )
consisting of: silybin (silibinin), silicristin, silidianin and others.

They have anti-hepatotoxic properties, and the plant extract containing them are widely used
for treatment of liver diseases.
