• Expectorant, diuretic, antiseptic, antispasmodic
• Prevent calculus formation in kidney or even help in dissolving the already formed
calculus either in kidney or gall bladder.
• Ingredient in many brands of mouth wash and cough suppressant
• Insecticide and insect repellent

• Occurrence: In Chenopodium oil
• Preparation: by fractional distillation under reduced pressure WHY??? (to

• Characters: viscous yellow liquid with nasty disagreable odour & taste.
• Test:

• Uses: Anthelmintic for round & hook worms
